Joe Hunter, 81, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008.

 

He was the loving husband of Terry Hunter for over fifty-five years, who preceded him to heaven. 

He was born in
Bedford, Indiana and played in the 1943 High School Basketball State Finals as a Bedford Stone Cutter. He was also known as Little Joe, the Wrangler. 

He was the owner of Hudson Furniture for over thirty years. Joe was one of D.A. Keimer’s elves and for many years he was the coordinator of the D.A. Keimer Christmas Fund until passing it on to others. 

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. 

He is survived by his eight children, Cathy, Joe E., Mark, Nancy, Kevin, Susan, Bill and Mateu; his 16 grandchildren, Shane, Lexis, Sheena, Hunter, Dusty, Kristin, Kate, Brian, Ivan, Maria, Ty, Britni, Jordan, Tanner, Surya and Ibai; his two great grandsons, Caden and Tyson. He was preceded in death by his son, David Brent and his granddaughter, Anna Therese. 

Visitation will be at Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton on Thursday from 6 until 9 P.M. A Rosary service will be held at 9 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. 

A memorial Mass will be held at
10 A.M. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery will full military rites at the cemetery by the V.F.W. #1147. A celebratory luncheon will follow the funeral services at St. Joseph Parish.
