Mr. Roy "Jack" Hoskins, 80, of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville

He retired after 35 years as an insurance agent for both Western Southern Ins. Co. (20 years) and the American Family Ins. Co. (15 years). He was a WWII Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater as a staff sergeant in the paratroops. 

He is survived by his wife, Kate (Arnold); 7 children, Will "Rip" Hoskins, Houston, Texas, Terry Hoskins, Oakland City, Tony "Paul" Hoskins, Evansville, Susan Willis, Somerville, Ind., Katie "Cricket" Hyatt, Mount Carmel, Ill., Jackie Stephens, Oakland City and Chuck Hoskins, Newburgh, Ind.; sister, Norma Jean Greuble, Haubstadt, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lucy Mary (Rinehart) Hoskins, and 2 brothers, Charles and Robert Hoskins. 

Funeral services
7 p.m. Wednesday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.

 

Friends may call from 3 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.   Burial was in Montgomery Cemetery.
