Joe Paul Hensley, 75, of Princeton passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City, Indiana.
He lived most of his lifetime
in the Gibson County area.
He was born June 17, 1932 in Gibson County, Indiana to Ernest and Violet (Pollard) Hensley who preceded
him in death along with his 2 brothers, Fred and Arthur Hensley.
He graduated from P.H.S. in
1951. Joe was a retired farmer and school bus driver for route #1 for the North
Gibson School Corporation for 34 years. He was a member of the Columbia General Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 56 years; they were married December 23,
1951. Also surviving are
daughter, Gail Lynn (Steve) Stewart; son, Leonard Paul (Connie) Hensley all of
Princeton, IN; 3 sisters: Clara Mae Paille, Mt.
Carmel, IL; Donna (Terry) Hughes, El Paso, TX; Alice (Gene) Bolden, Princeton,
IN; brother, Tony (Charlotte) Hensley, Princeton, IN; 2 sisters-in-law: Glenna
Hensley, Indianapolis, IN and Joann Hensley, Princeton, IN; grandchildren: Dr.
Sarah Stewart, Levi Stewart, Amy (J.D.) Weagley, Joey
(Ashley) Hensley, Jared Birch, and great granddaughter Trinity Hensley all of
Princeton, IN.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 10 A.M. at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. J. W. Creasey
and Rev. Doyne Laib
officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit Monday from
4 until 8
p.m. at Colvin Funeral Home.
