Verlie D.
Verlie worked at Ed Harvey Farm Supply family business. She
was a past member of the Lady Elks, Eastern Star, and was a Brownie and Girl
Scout leader in her younger years. Her passion was to piece quilts, and many of
these quilts she sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She also in the last few
years started her own quilt shop called the "Little Red Schoolhouse".
Verlie loved to feed birds and to play cards with
family and friends, teaching many of them to play bridge.
She was born
She is survived by her daughter, Nan Harvey of Bloomington; son, Michael Harvey
of Princeton, 3 grandsons, Lance & Blaik Harvey
of Princeton and Benjamin Dailey of Bloomington; 3 sisters, Hazel Grubb of
Evansville, Mary Loewen of Bradenton, Florida, and
Alice Whittington of Princeton; sister-in-law, Helen Harvey of Princeton.
