Clifton F. Harden, 79, passed away on Monday December 22, 2008 at the Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

 

Clifton retired in 1984 from P.S.I. after 26 years. He was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church of Princeton. He was also a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge #687 of Terre Haute, Indiana. Cliff had lived in Princeton since 1973 moving here from West Terre Haute, IN. He was an avid golfer and loved playing the piano. He was a former member of the Princeton Country Club. 

He was born on
December 24, 1928 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Clifton M. & Marie (Cheek) Harden, both deceased. Also preceding him in death was his 1st wife, Jackie Harden; infant sister, Laveda Rose; and 5 brothers-in-law, Dave Johnston, Don Crockett, Max Ready, Bernard Horton and Cecil Hall. 

Clifton is survived by his wife, Patty (Ready) Harden of Princeton; son, Gary (Carol) Harden of Jupiter, FL; step sons, Greg (Brenda) Hoke, Brad (Jenny) Hoke, and Don (Carolyn) Hoke all of Princeton; step daughter, Gina (John) Wilkinson of Washington, IL; 1 granddaughter, Michele (Mike) Sousa, Tequesta FL and 7 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, Morgan, Riley and Caroline Sousa, Tequesta, Fl and 19 step great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bernice Johnston and Betty Crockett both of West Terre Haute, IN; brothers-in-law and their wives, Bill & Phyllis Alumbaugh of Georgia, Dale & Carol Ready of Princeton, John & Pearl Ready of Bloomington, Dick & Eva Knotts of Carlisle; sisters-in-law and husband, Faye & Bob Walters of Carlisle, Mary Horton of Carlisle and Alice Hall of Tennessee, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was loved by all as well as his faithful dog Gabe

Funeral Services will be held at
2 PM on Monday December 29, 2008 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Craig Duke officiating. Burial will be at the White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

 

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Masonic Memorial Services will be held at 7 PM on Sunday evening.
