Nelle Cornelia (Woodburn) Geesken, 92 passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility at Princeton.

She was a 1933 graduate of Princeton High School.

She married Joseph Geesken, August 18, 1947 in Paducah, Ky. and managed a wholesale grocer before her eyesight caused her retirement. 

She was born September 16, 1915 in Patoka to Harry & Dora Woodburn who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph in December 2007. 

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Geesken of New York City, NY; sister, Elizabeth Mason of Princeton; nephews, Jim (Donna) Mason and Jim (Becky) Woodburn all of Princeton; sister-in-law, Henrietta Morgan of Newburgh; nephews, Bob Morgan of Newburgh and Danny Dears of California; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held at the graveside on Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 10 AM at the Decker Cemetery near Patoka, officiated by Rev. Maurice Melton. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Family and friends will meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
