Joseph Francis Geesken, 87, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007, at 10:30 p.m. at Northpark Nursing Center in Evansville, IN.

He was born November 12, 1920, in Huntingburg, IN.

A 1938 graduate of Huntingburg High School, he was a member of the Army Air Corp during World War II.

He was united to Nellie Woodburn, August 18, 1947, in Paducah, KY.

He was a manager for International Harvester until they left Evansville, and later managed grocery stores for Simpson’s. He retired in 1982. 

Surviving is his wife Nellie, Evansville, IN, daughter Terry Geesken, New York, NY, sister Henrietta Morgan, Newburgh, IN, several nieces and nephews and very special friend, Shirley Sinclair. 

Family and friends will meet at Colvin Funeral Home to go in procession for graveside services to Decker Cemetery in Patoka, IN, on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m.

The VFW 1147 will perform military graveside services.
