Mrs. Kathryn Fry, 73, passed
away Friday, Oct. 13, 2006
at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born in Norris City, IL to Wailin and Maude (Brockett)
Chapman. She was a member of the Oakland City First General Baptist Church and the Norris City, IL. Eastern Star May Chapter #
783. She was a graduate of Oakland City University and received her Master of Arts from Evansville University.
She was a minister’s wife and helped him for many years in his work including
their clown ministry. They were called “Cornbread and Kathy”. She also was the
Society Editor for the Norris City News for four yeas and was a teacher at Oldham County High
School, at LaGrange, Ky. for five years.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, The Rev. Dr. Virgil R.L. Fry; her son Tim
and spouse, Lori; granddaughter, Anna Fry of Muncie,
IN; and two sisters, Ruby Brown of Carmi, IL and Imogene
Chapman of Victoria, TX.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.

Oct. 18, 2006 at the Oakland City First General Baptist Church with burial in the West Union Cemetery near Carmi,
IL.
Friends may call from 4 until
8 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, IN. and from 8 a.m.
until service time Wednesday at the Church.
