Kenneth L. Fortner, 85,
passed away on
Kenneth retired in 1976 as a
detective with the State Police after 28 years. He also served as a probation
officer. He served in the Air Force during WW II, where he was awarded 6 Bronze
Stars. Kenneth was a life member of the VFW #1147, Elks, and the American
Legion #25. He was also a member of the F.O.P.
He was born on
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dortha
Fortner of Princeton; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Marsha & Bill Kreitenstein of Evansville and Vicki & Jack Hoover of
Patoka; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Susan Fortner of Vincennes; 6
grandchildren, Kelly Baker, Ian & Emilee Kreitenstein, Nicole Fortner, Natalie Bratcher &
Michael Fortner; 9 great grandchildren; brother, J.D. Fortner of Princeton and
sister, Norma Jean Taylor of Indianapolis.
