Robert P. "Bob" Fitch, 82, passed away on Sunday March 18, 2007 at his home in Princeton, IN.

 

Bob was a member of the Columbia General Baptist Church in Princeton. He was a retired school bus driver for the N.G.S.C. for 33 years and also was the owner/operator of Princeton Oil for over 30 years. Bob also served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He was a member of the VFW #1147, American Legion #256, and Princeton Elks #634. He was a member of the Princeton Country Club for many years and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Columbia White Church Cemetery

He was born on
October 7, 1924 in Princeton to Herschel & Minnie (Holland) Fitch, both deceased.

 

Also preceding him in death was his 1st wife, Margaret Fitch in 2000; 2 sons, Ronnie Fitch in 1970 and Mike Fitch in 1992; brothers, Kenneth & Doris Fitch and a sister, Shirley Kunkel. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Joann Davis Fitch of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Tracy (Jimmy) Maglis of Princeton and Amy (Geoff) Godbout of Indianapolis; 1 great grandson, Gage Maglis; daughter-in-law, Lee Ann Bridges of Hazleton; 2 brothers, John Fitch of Greensburg and Gerald "Tootie" Fitch of Princeton; step-children, Butch Davis, Beverly Boss and Mary Wallace all of Princeton, Terry Davis of Owensville, and Tami Middleton of Francisco; several step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren including Kolin Clutter. 

Funeral Services will be held at
10:00 AM on Wednesday March 21, 2007 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Ron Marsh officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

 

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home. VFW Post #1147 will conduct military graveside services.
