Lola M. Ellis, 89, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at her home in Princeton.

She was born August 4, 1918 in Gibson County, Indiana and had resided here her entire lifetime.

She was retired from J.C. Penney’s in Princeton. A member of the Broadway Christian Church and a 50 year member of Golden Fleece Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, where she was a Past Worthy Matron, both in Princeton.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Critchfield and her first husband, Dennis T. Critchfield in 1975. 

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Paul F. Ellis of Princeton; her son & daughter-in-law, Dennis W. & Charlie Critchfield of Princeton; step-children, Bill Ellis of North Carolina, Bob Ellis of South Carolina, Jimmy Ellis of Pennsylvania, Nina Ellis of North Carolina & Richard Ellis of Hazleton, IN; 3 grandchildren, Shelly McCampbell, Casey McIntosh & Austin Critchfield; 2 brothers, Clifford Griffin of Cold Water, MI & Howard Griffin of Henderson, KY; 3 sisters, Mary Frances Marshall & Dorothy Yates both of Owensville, IN & Gen Brines of Princeton; several nieces & nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. John Dunn.

Friends may visit from 12:30 until the service hour on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Owensville Cemetery in Owensville, IN.
