Wilma J. (Hadfield) Eck, 87, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Gentle Care of Vincennes.

 

She was born April 5, 1920 in Princeton, Indiana and had resided here since 1996 after having lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana since 1965.

 

Wilma was retired from the Allen County Library, having helped build the outstanding Reynolds Genealogy Collection. She was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton; Order of Eastern Star #299 in Elnora, IN and also the Allen County-Fort Wayne Historical Society. Her husband, Sidney A. Eck in 1977 and 3 brothers, Glen, Vernon and Jed Hadfield, preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her twin daughters & 2 sons-in-law, Georgette & Dr. Ronnie Harper of Surprise, Arizona and Jeanette & Don Meurer of Plainville, Indiana; 2 step-sons, Raymond & Ronald Eck both of Wilmington, Delaware; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Imogene Bishop of Indianapolis, Indiana and Mary Shelton of Panama City, Florida; 1 brother, George Hadfield of Nashville, Tennessee. 

Funeral services will be graveside at
10 A.M. Monday, May 7, 2007 at Columbia "White" Church Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will meet at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton for a gathering and brief words, before continuing to the cemetery. Rev. Craig Duke will officiate the services.
