Robert W. Duncan, 84, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at his home in Oakland City.

He was born in Oakland City to Russell and Helen (McCullough) Duncan.

He operated the Duncan Hardware store in Oakland City for 50 years. He was a life member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Oakland City and served on the Oakland City Dept. for more than 30 years. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. 

Surviving are his wife, Fern (Luttrell) Duncan; five sons, Gary and Donna Duncan of Huntingburg, Mark and Sally Duncan of Oakland City, Roger and Anne Duncan of Evansille, Bruce Duncan of Huntingburg and Pat and Gayle Duncan of Marshall, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Revs. Samuel Padgett and William Sweigart officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Corn Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
