Doris M. Duncan, 92, passed
away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005
at Gibson General Hospital, in Princeton.
She attended Lockyear Business College and was employed as a secretary for Wilder and Son
Oil Co., in Oakland City. She was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, in Oakland City, for over 70 years, where she was a Sunday School teacher, assistant choir director and a lifetime
member of the United Methodist Women's Missions. She also sang at many weddings
and funerals. She was a member of Chapter 451, Order of Eastern Star, in Oakland City for 63 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Leroy and Cora (Wilder) Street;
her husband, Russell E. Duncan; and a sister, Thelma Broadwell.
She is survived by a stepson, Robert Duncan, of Oakland City; five step grandchildren; 10 step
great-grandchildren; two cousins; and several special friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, in Oakland City, with the Rev. Adam Payne officiating. Burial will be
in Montgomery Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m.
until service time on Saturday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
