Glenn Richard
"Dick" Drew, 77, passed away on Wednesday April 11, 2007 at his White River Home.
He was born in Gibson County and was the youngest of four children born to Andrew
& Alice (Bishop) Drew.
He attended Princeton High
School and
joined the U.S. Navy in 1947, serving in Korea. While stationed in California, he married Gloria Simpson in 1951. They had two
sons, Steve Richard and Scott Randall. He was a land surveyor and independent
general contractor. In 1993, he returned home to Indiana. He was a member of the VFW Local #1147, American
Legion Post 25, Eagles Aerie 361, and the Indiana Society of the Sons of the
American Revolution.
Dick is survived by his eldest son Steve of San Francisco, California;
grandson; great granddaughter; sister, Geraldine White of Memphis, Tennessee; and four nieces and nephews.
His body will be cremated and returned to California to be interned with his youngest son, who died in
1993. A plaque will be placed at the family plot at Mt. Olympus Cemetery.
Memorial services will be
held at 10:00
AM Saturday, April
21, 2007 at the Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton. VFW Post #1147 will have a service at the funeral
home.
