Charles H. Dosch age 89 of Princeton passed
away Monday evening Nov. 24, 2008 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
Charles was born Nov.6, 1919
in Princeton, IN to Curtis and Elsie (Deffandall)
Dosch. He had lived in Princeton all of his life.
He retired as the owner
operator of Dosch Shoe Service in Princeton, which he operated for over 30 years. Before that he had worked for
the Southern Railroad. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force serving
during W.W. II.
Charles was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Princeton where he had served as an Elder, Deacon and as Sunday School Treasurer
for many years. He was Life Member of the V.F.W. Post 1147 where he served on
the funeral detail. He had formerly enjoyed bowling, which he did for many
years.
He is survived by his wife: Betty (Greek) Dosch of
Princeton to whom he married in 1946, a brother: John (Leah) Dosch, Greenwood, IN, sister: Agnes Dosch, Indianapolis, IN, brothers-in-law and sisters–in-law: Bennie and
Juanita Coomer, Princeton and Ralph and Lisa Greek, Des Moines, IA, sister-in-law: Vivian Skelton, Princeton, and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Katherine Curry, niece:
Becky Curry and brother: Bob Dosch.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m.
Saturday
Nov. 29, 2008 at the Colvin
Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Wynveen. Burial will
follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4
until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. V.F.W. Post 1147 will conduct military
graveside services.
