Thelma M. Couts, 75 of Arthur, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 surrounded by her loving family.

She was a member of the Arthur General Baptist Church. She graduated from Royal Beauty Academy in Indianapolis and had a beauty shop in Arthur. She was a member of the O.C. Eastern Star and the Evansville Daughters of the Nile

Thelma was born March 4, 1919 in Winslow to Aram & Toillee (Smith) Grimes, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Couts in 1996; a son, Donald E. Couts in 2004; sister, Farreline Snyder and a brother, Ernest Grimes 

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Nelson of Winslow; 6 grandchildren, Dawn Renee Riley, Dan W. Nelson, Scott A. Nelson, Amanda June Couts, Margie Elizabeth Couts, and Donald E. Couts Jr; 4 great grandchildren, Xavier Seitz, MiKayla Riley, Cody Riley, and Eric Nelson. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 3, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Burial will be at the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
