Marthalene (McCallister) Coomer, 83, of Oakland City, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 5, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, Indiana.

She was a member of the Oakland City General Baptist Church. She retired in 1985 from Hansen’s Manufacturing after over 30 years. 

She was born July 25, 1923 in Hazleton to Ray & Audrey (Thorne) Purkiser, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Bernard McCallister in 1974 and Warren Coomer in 2005; a brother, Jack Purkiser and a sister, Linda Purkiser. 

Marthalene is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Joe Muncy of Francisco; 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Shannon & Jesse Brewington and Sam & Neeley Muncy; 5 great grandchildren, Kirsten, Kjeristy & Morgan Brewington and Ethan John & Eli Muncy; brothers, Bob Purkiser of Muncie, Indiana, Charles Purkiser of Florida and Max Purkiser of California; and a sister, Betty Dickhart of California. 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Wayne Rowland officiating. Burial will be at the Hazleton Community Cemetery in Hazleton.

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
