Judy A. Cochrane, 67, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City after a lengthy illness.

 

She was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Oakland City. Judy retired in 2006 as the Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Oakland City after 15 years of service. 

Judy was born
December 20, 1939 to Charles & Ruth (Brown) Comer. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Comer. 

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Cochrane of Oakland City; mother, Ruth H. Comer of Oakland City; 2 sons & daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Nancy Cochrane of Evansville and Roger Cochrane of Oakland City; twin daughters and son-in-law, Jeanette & Tracy Houchins of Oakland City and Jennifer Crawford of Petersburg; adopted son, Greg Norrick of Oakland City; Grandchildren, Jamie Cochrane of Evansville, Amber (Cory)Hart of Indianapolis, Alissa (Chris) Maynard of Evansville, Ashley Dame of Evansville, Ellery Cochrane of Oakland City, Joshua Hedges of Bloomington, Kolten Hedges of Oakland City, Brett, Jordan, Erica and Jade Houchins all of Oakland City, Matt White of Evansville, Stephanie Melton (Ryan) Wiscaver of Petersburg; great grandchildren, Camryn Hart of Indianapolis and Layton Wiscaver of Petersburg; brother, Charles R. (Mary Lou) Comer of Anchorage, AK 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Dr. Rodney Walls officiating. Burial will be at the
Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.

 

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
