Matthew D. Christmas, 22, of Jasper passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

He was born August 20, 1985 in Mt. Carmel, IL. He had lived in Jasper for the last 20 years moving from Lakeland, FL. He worked as a carpenter for Dubois County Home Improvement. 

Matthew is survived by his father Dale Christmas of Princeton and his mother Lisa Wade of Lakeland, FL; son Alexander Christmas; daughter Alexis Ivey, step-son William Barkley, & fiancée Nicole Ivey all of Jasper; brother Mike Christmas of Huntingburg; 2 sisters Michelle Wade & Janelle Payne both of Lakeland FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2 P.M. at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Steven Gates officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may visit Thursday from 12 noon until service time at Colvin Funeral Home.
