Mary Kathryn Carter age, 88, passed Saturday July 26, 2008 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

 

She was born in Princeton on Nov. 17, 1919 to George and Della (Barrett) Parker Johnson.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ethel Dearing, brothers Jerauld and Elvis (Bus) Parker, nephew Jerry L. Parker and niece Elizabeth Foster. 

Mary graduated from
Princeton High School in 1937 and retired from WREY radio station in New Albany, IN. She had lived in Princeton since 1993, moving back here from New Albany. She was a member of the Gibson County Historical Society and enjoyed working on genealogy at the library. 

She is survived by nieces: Diane Ross and Geraldine Regenhold of Princeton Barbara Wessel of Evansville and Loretta Nell of Canyon Lake, TX, nephews: Stephen Parker of Princeton and Dr. John Parker of Grand Rapids MI, and a dear friend, Donald Mason of Princeton. 

Funeral Services will be
11 a.m. Friday Aug. 1, 2008 at the Colvin Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
