Mary Lou (Hunt) Carpenter, 76 passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at The Waters of Princeton after a lengthy illness. 

Mary Lou was born on
June 26, 1932, the daughter of Jesse and Magdalene (Crandall) Hunt. She married John Darrell Carpenter, her high school sweetheart, on April 11, 1952

She was a teacher’s aide at
Franklin Elementary School. After receiving her elementary education degree, she taught fourth grade at Franklin and Baldwin Heights for seventeen years, retiring in October 1994. 

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in
Princeton where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the church choir. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine (Carpenter) and Bill Ready; son, John D. Carpenter all of Princeton; brothers, James C. (Joy) Hunt of Frisco, TX and Jerry (Ruth Ann) Hunt of Princeton; grandchildren, Emily (Wyatt), Carly, Erin and Jackie. 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Andrea Nicole Ready. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 22, 2008 at 10 AM at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Rev. Barry Wynveen. Burial will be at the
Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

 

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
