Charles Larry Byrum, 59, passed away on Thursday January 31, 2008 at his home in Oakland City.
He was a self-employed
contractor. He also served in the Indiana Army National Guard for 19 years. He
was a member of the Oakland City First General Baptist Church. He graduated from Crittenden County High
School in
1966. He was an avid bass fisherman and a big Kentucky Wildcats fan.
He was born on October 14, 1948 in Evansville, IN to Charles Hayden & Mary Frances (Frasier) Byrum. His father Charles just passed away on January 24, 2008.
Charles is survived by his wife, Rita (Cantrell) Byrum
of Oakland City; mother, Mary Byrum of Owensboro, KY;
2 sons and daughters-in-law, Carl & April Mann of Princeton and Donald
& Ashia Mann of San Francisco, CA; 2 grandchildren,
Cody & Madeline Mann; and a sister and brother-in-law, Kathie & Larry
McDowell of Owensboro.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday February 2, 2008 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with the Rev. Terryl Almond
officiating. Burial will be at the Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, KY on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
Friends may visit from 4
until 8 PM on Friday and from 8 AM until service time on Saturday at the Corn-Colvin
Funeral Home.
