Ruth Anthis Bugher age 100 died 7:30 a.m. Saturday Aug. 6, 2005 at the Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

She was born in Patoka IN, Dec. 4, 1904 to Ottis and Janie (Gammon) Anthis.

She lived in Patoka most of her lifetime. She graduated from Oakland City University and Indiana State Teachers College. She had taught school for a short time and she farmed with her husband Nelson, who preceded her in death, and raised chickens and dogs. 

She is survived by a son William "Chick" Bugher, Patoka and 7 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Bugher, and her parents. 

Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka, with Rev. Edmond Harris officiating.

There will be no visitation Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family and family will meet at the cemetery for the service.
