Mabel (Riley) Buck, 102,
passed away Monday, March 7, 2005 at The Waters, in Princeton.
She was born near Oakland City on July 13, 1902, to James T. and Flora Aydelotte
Harbison.
Mabel was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, near Oakland City. She was a homemaker, but worked for Republic
Aircraft during World War II. Her favorite hobby was quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, George N. Riley,
in 1937 and Benjamin H. Buck, in 1967; three sons, Harold W., Lloyd E. and
Richard W. Riley; five brothers, George, Seward, Wayne, Jack and Charles Harbison; and four sisters, Faye Riley, Helen Bittner,
Kathleen Harbison and Irene Keith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Donald Maikranz, of Francisco; daughter-in-law, Delima Riley and step-daughter Nadine Morgan, of Somerville; a brother, Walter "J.W." Harbison, of Forsythe, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Stephen
Riley, Coleen Loveless, Mark and Neil Riley, David,
Tim, Joe, John and Sam Maikranz, and Elaine Byers; 25
great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law;
and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
Thursday,
March 10, 2005 at the
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, in Oakland City, with the Rev. Miles Zeigler officiating. Burial will
be in the Providence Cemetery near Francisco.
Friends may call from 4-8
p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m.
until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
