Norma Jean Bruce, 83, passed
away on Friday, June 20, 2008
at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.
She was born in Oakland City, Indiana on July 29, 1924 to Russell and Hazel Comer, both deceased.
Norma Jean was a homemaker
and a loving mother and wife. She was also a dear friend to many who knew her.
Norma Jean was a member of
the Patoka Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Oakland City Senior
Citizens Club, attended the Young At Hearts of Oakland
City. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was also a past
member of the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58
years, Dale in 2005 and a son, Bryce in 2008.
Norma is survived by a daughter, Kristina Settle and husband, Jim Settle of
Oakland City; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Bruce of Princeton; three grandchildren,
Dave Bruce, Heath Settle and Haley Settle; also surviving is a sister, Marilou and Leonard Hughes of Boonville; nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M.
Tuesday,
June 24, 2008 at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Greg Davis officiating.
Friends may visit from 4
until 8
P.M. Monday at Colvin Funeral
Home. Burial will be at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
