Thelma I. Borders, 87 of Princeton, Indiana passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at her home.
She graduated from Mt. Olympus High
School in
1938. She was a retired Quality Control Inspector at Hansen’s Corp. Thelma was
a member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Princeton, where she was a
former Sunday School teacher and president of the Missionary Board.
Thelma was born on March 2, 1920 in Pike County to Robert & Myrtle (Kirk) Ingler,
both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband,
Morris Borders; son, Robert Borders; and a sister, Annabelle Simpson.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Joetta
& John Scherb of Princeton; granddaughter,
Shannon Rogers of Lexington, KY; step-granddaughter, Karen Sharpe of Terre
Haute, IN; 3 step-great grandchildren, Chris, Kristen & Christina; 1
sister, Betty Ponsler of Anderson, IN; several nieces
& nephews including Steve Simpson of Oakland City .
Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Princeton officiated by Rev. Gary Arnold. Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Friends may visit from 4
until 7 PM on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 9 AM until service
time on Friday at the church.
