Mildred Benton, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005 at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Evansville

She had retired from Anchor Industries after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of the
St. John's United Church of Christ, in Buckskin, the church Women's Guild and of the Woodmen of the World. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, in 1992. 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Patricia Hillman, of Oakland City, Lois Hunter, of Lakeland, Fla. and Anna Sue Pryor, of Jasper; two sisters, Gladys Wyatt, of Gary and Joyce Pryor, of Robards, Ky.; and a brother, Jack Brinkley Jr., of Madisonville, Ky. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in the
Somerville Cemetery.
