Stevie R. Bennett, 63, left this world for a better place on Wednesday March 22, 2006 at his home in Princeton.

Stevie was formerly in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1992 from the Con Rail Railroad after 30 years. 

He was born on December 22, 1942 in Olney, Illinois. His mother, Mary Jane Foley preceded him in death. 

Stevie is survived by his children, Satina Bennett of Owensville, Sondra Riley of Evansville, Shane Bennett of Princeton, and Lindell Bennett of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Krista Hedge, Ryan Bennett, Jeniffer Clem, Bre Clem and Cameron Bennett; 1 great grandchild, Malaki Baker; sisters, Autumn Ford of Evansville and Sheila Lampley of Sesser, Illinois; close friend and caregiver, Sheila Wethington

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 25, 2006 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Jeff Enochs officiating. Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. VFW Post #1147 will conduct military graveside services.
