Paul E. "Lefty" Bell, 83, of Princeton, died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Evansville. He was born March 21, 1922 in Winslow.
He had lived in Princeton since 1946 and retired in 1995 as a salesman from Sharett's Auto. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and
was a member of the Broadway Christian Church. He was past-exalted ruler of
Princeton Elks 634, past commander of American Legion Post 25, was a member of
VFW Post 1147 and was on the funeral detail for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice (Evans) Bell; three cousins; and a host of friends.
Friends will meet for a graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in Princeton, with the Rev. John Dunn officiating. Burial will be
at the cemetery. VFW Post 1147 will conduct military graveside services.
