Arthur D. "Art"
Beck, 87, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
Art was preceded in death by
his parents, Emory and Ethel (Stone) Beck; a brother, Roy Beck; a sister, Edna
Beck and his wife Bonnie Beck.
Art was born June 17, 1921 in Gibson County, Indiana and was retired from F & M Building & Home
Supplies in Princeton and had worked at the former Adams & Morrow
Company in Princeton and was also a former Gibson County Deputy Sheriff.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and a member of V.F.W.
Post #2714 in Fort Branch, American Legion Post #25 and Prince Masonic Lodge
#231 both in Princeton.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Ramsey of Boonville, IN, Erma Lee Roedel of Evansville and Ann Beck of Princeton; two
step-daughters, Carla Lindy of Patoka, IN and Jennifer Hoke
of Princeton; five grandsons; two granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Marie Upchurch of Henderson, KY and Helen Adkins of Blue Springs,
MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Graveside at 11 A.M.
Tuesday, December 9th at Fairview Cemetery east of Princeton, with Rev.
Bob Douglas officiating, burial will follow. V.F.W. #1147 will provide full
military rites. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery for the
services.
Visitation will be from 4
until 8
P.M. Monday, December 8th at
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Prince Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic services
at 7 P.M. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
