Hazel M Barrett age 81 of Oakland City passed away Tuesday morning June 10, 2008 at the Washington Nursing Center in Washington IN.

She was born June 3, 1927 in Pike County, IN to Virgil and Cassie (Coleman) Mize, who preceded her in death along with her husband Floyd A. Barrett in 1999.

Hazel resided in Oakland City most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship General Baptist Church in Oakland City. 

Hazel is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Johnson, Francisco and Deborah (David) Haas, Huntingburg, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. 

Funeral Services will 2 p.m. Friday June 13, 2008 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, Oakland City, Indiana with the Dr. Bob Doane officiating. Burial will follow in the Willis Cemetery in Pike County.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until service time on Friday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
