Sarah P. Barnes, 88, of Birmingham, Alabama and formerly of Princeton passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the Trinity Hospital in Birmingham.

She lived in Princeton from 1945 to the 1970’s then moving to Orlando, Florida for over 25 years. She has been in Alabama for approx. 5 years. She was a life member of the Eagles Aux.(she was a past president), and a member of the Order of Easter Star. 

She was born April 22, 1918 in Portsmith, Virginia to William and Arilla (Worth) Vetra, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Walter Harrell in 1966 and Nile Barnes in the 1970’s; a daughter, Shirley Dossett; and a sister, Frances Holt 

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, William & Barbara Harrell of Birmingham, Alabama and Robert & Sue Harrell of Ft. Branch, IN; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Ridgeway of Bicknell, IN. 

Graveside Services will be held on Monday September 25, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Hazleton Community Cemetery officiated by Rev. Fred Brittain. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
