William A. Alstatt, 81, of Buckskin passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 at his home in Buckskin. He was born July 6, 1927 in Boonville, Indiana to Delbert & Alberta (Hedges) Alstatt who preceded him in death along with his sister Wanda McIntyre, a brother Jim Alstatt and a son-in-law Roger Farmer. 

William worked as a truck driver for Whirlpool where he retired in 1989. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie (Benton) Alstatt; 1 son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Janice Alstatt of Buckskin; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Billie & Elvis Curry of Evansville and Charlotte & Ricky Wilkison of Buckskin; 6 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; 1 sister & brother-in-law, Bonnie & Velmont Claridge of Elberfeld; and 1 brother & sister-in-law, Norman & Martha Reynolds of Boonville. 

Funeral services will be held graveside on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 3:30 P.M. at the St. John’s Cemetery in Buckskin with the Rev. Frank Sapp officiating. There will be no visitation. Family & friends will meet at the cemetery. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City is in charge of arrangements.
