PRINCETON INDIANA DAILY CLARION OBITUARY - 05/11/2004

Walter K. Allen, 85, passed away at 9 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2004 at The Waters of Princeton.

Walter was born in Gibson County on Sept. 24, 1918 to parents Charles Steven and Dora L. (Doerges) Allen.

He was a SSgt in the US Army, European Theatre, World War II.

He was a retired machinist & was also a member and past master of Prince Masonic Lodge No. 231 in Princeton.

His parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded Walter in death.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary (Elliott) Allen; two sons, Ronald Allen of Texas and Stanley Allen of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren, Ronald Allen Jr. and Ryan N. Allen, both of Haubstadt, and Lauren Allen and Brianne Allen, both of Bradenton, Fla.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Friends may call for visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Masonic memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Columbia 'White' Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
