Berta J. Young, 80, of Oakland City, Ind. died Friday October 1, 2004 3:00 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, Ind.

She was born on May 22, 1924 in Gibson County Ind. to Thomas & Bertha E. (Black) Blevins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Lucille Hollon and Marjorie McDowell.

She was retired from Potter and Brumfield in Princeton, Ind. after 37 years of service. She was a member of Oakland City American Legion Post # 256 Auxillary and Oakland City Erie Eagles Lodge # 4288 Auxillary.

Surviving are: Daughters, Sharon Williamson of Ft. Branch, Ind. and Linda Gamblin of Oakland City, Ind.; grandchildren, Daron Wallace, Melinda Goedde and Kenneth Gamblin; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, William Blevins, of Ft Branch, Ind. and Charles Blevins, Anderson, Ind.

Funeral services be Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, Rev. J.W. Creasey officiating, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:30-8:30 P.M. and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Tuesday at the Chapel
