MARTHA JANE WATKINS

Evansville – Martha Jane (Davison) Watkins, 80, died Friday, August 1, 2003 at 8:25 p.m. at North Park Nursing Home in Evansville.

She was born January 10, 1923, in Princeton to Roscoe O. and Myrtle (Weist) Davison. She lived in Princeton her entire life.

She attended Indiana State University’s School of Music and was a piano teacher. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton, where she was an organist and pianist for 40 years. She was also a member of the Gibson County Chorus.

She is survived by a son, Chuck Watkins; a brother, Fred Davison; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Davison of Kissimmee, Fla.; an uncle, Clayton Weist of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Watkins; and a brother, Halman Davison in 1983.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home with burial in Columbia ‘White’ Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
