Mary Louise Sumners Vaughan, 89, of Winslow, IN entered rest on Saturday July 8, 2006 at 10:30 P.M. at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg, IN.
She was born on October 22, 1916 in Oakland City, IN to Ralph and Esther (Thurman )
Sumners.
She had worked at Servel in Evansville during World War II operating a Borematic.
She was a dealer for Avon
and Tupperware, she enjoyed fishing, gardening and
attended Muren Church of God especially enjoyed the Senior Center in Winslow, IN.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; sister, Ruth Houghland; brothers, Curtis
and Ralph Jr. Sumners; and her husband William
Vaughan in 1988.
Surviving family members are: Son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Marilou Vaughan of Savannah, GA; sisters, Amye Rue Martin
of Oakland City, IN, Martha Newcomb of Anderson, IN and Georgia Price of Petersburg, IN; grandchildren, Neal Vaughan, Kent Vaughan, Nicky
Vaughan, Dawn Fields; four great grandchildren; four great
great-grandchildren; 26 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July
12, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery .
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until services on Wednesday at the Chapel.
