Jackie R. Underwood, 75, of Oakland City, Ind. died at 10:45 A.M., Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the V.N.A. Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Ind.

He was born on May 1, 1929 in Dubois Co. Ind. to Carl and Artie (Kemp) Underwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and his wife Lillie D. Underwood on Aug.7, 1993.

He was retired from Zenith Corporation after 22 years of service. He was a member of First General Baptist Church, Scottish Rite, Oakland City Chapter of Eastern Star. He also was a member of Lessing Lodge #464 F.&A.M. in Evansville, Ind.

Surviving are: Daughters, Patricia Burkhart and Deborah Cochrane both of Oakland City, Ind.; grandchildren, Chris Cochrane, Crystal Buck, Jacob Burkhart; great grandchildren, Quentin and Dalton Cochrane, Kieonna Burkhart, Zachary and Zane Cochrane; a brother, Wayne Underwood of Huntingburg, Ind.

Funeral services will be Tuesday October 12, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, Dr. John G. Clanton officiating. Burial in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon -8:00 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until services at the chapel..
