Harold B. Thomas, 75, of Francisco IN died Thursday June 24, 2004 11:34 A.M. at  Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1928 in Augusta IN to Granis & Vona (Brown) Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his brother James Elwood Thomas.

He purchased a building in 1992 in Pike Co, just East of Oakland City and started Thomas Auto Repair.  He loved and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also was a long time Trustee of the Augusta Cemetery, where he was instrumental in producing an inter-active website for the cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Myrtle Lucille Craig; they were married on June 4, 1949; daughters, Valerie Jean Thomas and her 7 children, of Palermo, Maine, Malinda Knight and her 2 children and 1 step child of Illinois: sons, Mike and his wife Carmela Thomas and their 3 children, of Muethuen, Mass., Jeff and his wife Linda Thomas and their 4 children of Princeton IN, and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Miller of Mt.Carmel, I., Nancy Gilmour, of Winslow, IN; brothers, Doyle Thomas, of Mattoon, IL, Larry Thomas of Decatur, I., Richard Thomas, of Conway, South Carolina, Roger Thomas, of Washington, IN.

Funeral Services will be Monday June 28, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN.  Burial will follow in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta IN, Rev.Rodney Walls officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:00A.M. until services on Monday at the chapel.
