Mark S. Sweeney, 52, of Oakland City, IN. died Wednesday June 16, 2004 at 8:10 A.M. at his home.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1951 in Gentryville, IN to Raymond & Nazimova
(Brunson) Sweeney.
He was retired from Whirlpool Corp in Evansville after 30 years of service. He attended Oak Grave General Baptist Church in Oakland City.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers,
Raymond (PeeWee) , Kenneth
Darrell, Robert Gene Sweeney; and his father Raymond Sweeney in 1990.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, the
former Cheryl Utley Sweeney; two sons, Logan Ray and Jerad
Mark Sweeney of Oakland
City, IN; mother, Nazimova Sweeney
of Oakland City, IN; a brother, Timothy Scott Sweeney of Evansville, IN.; seven sisters & brother-in-laws, Mova Jean & Larry Kleeman of Newburgh,
IN, Pam & Dave Will of Evansville, IN, Sue & Mike Chesser
of Boonvile, IN, Shirley & Mick Shafer of
Petersburg, IN, Marlene & Doug Lamon, Becky &
Tony Montgomery both of Oakland City, IN, Darlene & Danny Sullivan of Ft.
Branch IN; 19 nephews & nieces; 22 great nephews & nieces.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 19,
2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Montgomery
Cemetery, Rev.Tony Phillips & Rev. Matt Malin officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Saturday at the chapel.
