Thelma V. Smith, 84, of Oakland City, IN, entered rest on Saturday July 19, 2008 at 7:24 A.M. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

She was born on March 1, 1924 in Gibson County to Glen and Margie (Hudson) Goldman.

She was a member of Forsythe United Methodist Church where she played the piano and was a choir member.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years Marvin Smith; sons, Glenn Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL and Paul (Lisa) Smith of Owensboro, KY; grandchildren, Jason Smith and Jessica Smith; great-grandchild, Logan Parrott.

Services will be Wednesday July 23, 2008 at 11:00A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Forsythe Cemetery, Rev.Charles R. Gipson will officiate.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and from 8:00A.M. until services on Wednesday.
