Lena E. Smith, 89, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Wednesday November 29, 2006 at 8:05 A.M. at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, IN.

She was born June 8, 1917 in Glzeen , IN to Henry and Laura (Alstatdt) Price.

She was retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 13 years working in the cafeteria.

She married Jesse Quiggns in 1933 and married Charles Smith in 1969.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Smith; sisters Delores Barrett, Opha M Stephens; son Jerry Quiggins; daughter, Shirley Schmidt; brother, George Price; two grandsons, Michael Cartwright, James Stevie Quiggins; great granddaughter, Nicole White.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Krieg of Oakland City, IN; Betty Cartwright of Lynnville, IN; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and great–great grandchildren; brother, Jack Price of McKinney, Texas; sister, Dorothy Rhoades of Gray Summit, Missouri.

Graveside services will be Sunday December 3, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Winslow with Bro. Eddie Willis officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel. Family and friends will gather at cemetery for services on Sunday.
