Marjorie Sharp, 82, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Thursday July 12, 2007 at 8:50 P.M. at her home.

She was born on May 9, 1925 in Pike County, IN to Charlie and Edith (Rock) Young.

She worked in local grocery stores for several years and was a retired  Lab Technician from St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and Carl Young; step-son, Robert Johnson; husbands, Denver “Kinky” Johnson and Harry Sharp Jr.; and son, Edward Johnson.

Surviving are:  Son, Jimmie and (Joyce) Johnson of Bainbridge, N.Y; daughter-in-law, Edna Johnson of Oakland City, IN; long time companion, Gerald Gray of Petersburg, IN; step-daughter, Janet (Johnson) Crider of St. Louis, MO; step-son, Jerry and (Patty) Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, David & Michael Johnson both of Gainesville, FL, Kelly and (Brad) Stott: of Princeton, IN, Kevin and (Melynda) Johnson of Oakland City, IN; great grandson, Scott Johnson of Oakland City, IN.

Funeral services will be Monday July 16, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery.  Rev Darin D. Nossett will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Monday at the Chapel.
