Delores A. Ruppel, 74, of Stendal entered rest on Tuesday December 5, 2006, at 9:30 P.M. at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.

She was born on December 31, 1931 in Bicknell, IN to John and Marie (Anderson) Strate.

She had worked at United Insurance Company and Brown Shoe Company and was a member of American Legion Post # 256 Auxiliary.

Surviving is her husband of 56 and one-half years Lawrence “Bill;” sons, John K. Ruppel of Bruceville, IN, Andy Ruppel of Huntingburg, IN; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother:,Wayne Strate of Vincennes, IN.

Services will be on Saturday December 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Douglas Low officiating, burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until service time.
