Petersburg,
Indiana—Robert ‘Gus’ Ropp, 63, of Petersburg, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001,
at Gibson General Hospital of kidney failure.
He
was born July 4, 1937 in Princeton to Fred and Agnes D. (Snyder) Ropp.
He
was retired from Whirlpool and was a farmer.
He was a member the Union Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving
are his wife, Margaret Whitehouse Ropp of Petersburg; a daughter and
son-in-law, Susan and Bill Zenthofer of Petersburg; a
brother, W. F. ‘Pat’ Ropp of Scottsbluff, Neb.; and a grandson, David Zenthofer of Petersburg.
Funeral
services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Saturday, March 31 at Harris Funeral Home in
Petersburg. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg.
Visitation
will be 3 to 8p.m. Friday, March 30 and from 8 a.m. until the service hour
Saturday at the funeral home.
