James W. Risley, 75, of Winslow, IN, passed away on Feb. 28, 2006 at 7:45 P.M. at The Waters in Princeton, IN.

He was born on March 21, 1930 in Velpen, IN to Lee and Lula (Winkler) Risley.

He was a member of the Winslow American Legion Post and Winslow Eagle Lodge and was retired from Inland Container in Evansville, IN after 43 years of service.  He enjoyed playing cards, and was avid gardener and loyal Yankee and I.U. fan.

He was preceded in death by hi wife Jewell Joyce Risley on June 25, 2004; and sisters, Laura M Coffman and Evelyn Jones.

Surviving are:  Daughters, Teresa Risley of Winslow, IN, Lana and husband Mike Brewer of Winslow, IN; son, Wesley and wife Tina Risley of Petersburg, IN; sisters, Rosealie Evans and Rosetta Risley both of Velpen, IN; two 2 grandsons, Adam Risley of Otwell, IN and Jesse Risley of Evansville, IN; great-grandson, Chance Risley; special family at the Waters in Princeton, IN.

Funeral service will be Saturday March 4, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. C.ST. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, burial in Sunset Cemetery in Winslow, IN, Rev. Darin Nossett officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:00A.M. until services on Saturday at the chapel.

Oakland City American Legion Post # 256 will conduct military services.
