BRENDA (JINES) ‘MAWSEY’ RILEY

 

          NEWBURGH--- Brenda M. Riley, 60, of Newburgh, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Brenda retired after 33 years with Bristol-Myers and was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.

She was a former Chairman of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and served on the Board at St. Mary’s Cancer Center.

Brenda loved her family and grandchildren and visiting with them at their homes.  She enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad.  Her motto in life was, ‘Life is Good.’

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Michael; son, Brian M. Riley and wife Heather of Houston, Texas; daughter Elizabeth a. Petit and husband Lance of Encinitas, Calif,; granddaughter, Logan Riley of Houston, Texas; grandson, Brady Petit of Encinitas, Calif.; parents, Robert and Gloria Jines of Princeton; brothers, Gary Jines and wife Laurie, of Princeton; mother-in-law, Arline Riley of Princeton; nieces, Courtney Clutter, Kimberly Hines; and nephews, Adam, Eric, and Trace Jines.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Outer Lincoln Ave., Newburgh, with Pastor Ken Idleman officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ziemer Funeral Home East chapel 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville and will continue from 9-9:45 a.m. On Saturday at Crossroads Christian Church.
