Luetta Jane Potter, 94, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Monday September 8, 2008 at 2:40 A.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.
She was born on June 1, 1914 in Brinkley, Arkansas.
She was a member of the Patoka Grove United Methodist Church.
Luetta and her husband Raymond owned and operated Potters
Market east of Oakland City for 41 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Raymond Potter; parents, Claude and Alice (O’Neal) Allen; stepmother, Frances
Cato; and five brothers and sisters.
Surviving family members: Daughters, Sylvia Stone of Oakland City, IN and Vera Hurst of Princeton, IN; son, Steve (Jeannine) Potter of Stendal, IN; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren;
nine great-great grandchildren
Services will be Thursday September 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. C.D.T. at Patoka Grove United Methodist Church east of Oakland City with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev. Jack
Hamm and Rev. Jim McGillem will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 8:00-10:30 A.M Thursday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, and from 12:00 Noon
until service at the church on Thursday.
