Harry G. Padgett, 89, of Oakland City, IN passed away on Thursday March 31, 2005 at 4:25 A.M. at Petersburg Healthcare Center in Petersburg, IN.

He was born on March 20, 1916 in Velpen, IN to William and Minnie (Parker) Padgett.

He was a superintendent in the construction field over Pile drivers for the Carpenters Union.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters; three wives, Wanda Barrett Ramach, Viclie Cooper, and Adella Hester Cooper.

Surviving are: a daughter, R. Marlene Besing of Oakland City, IN; step daughter, Delorsce Hunter of Gainesville, MO; former son-in-law and good friend, Jerry Besing of Oakland City, IN; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday April 3, 2005 at 2:00 P.M at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel. Burial in Traylor-Union Cemetery in Otwell, IN.

Visitation will be 4:00 -8:00 P.M. Saturday April 2, 2005 at the chapel and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Sunday at the chapel.
